The Port of Brisbane has a dedicated road network which is operated by the Port as a gazetted road, therefore the lighting requirement target are the same as any other local council or DTMR road. A number of these lighting assets have been operating for a number of years and are approaching the end of their asset life. The Port has therefore instigated an asset replacement and upgrade programme. Due to future traffic volumes and operational requirement the Port of Brisbane required upgrading of Port Drive.
The asset replacement and upgrade project involves asset inspections and identification of improvement areas including changing from old HPS technology to LED technology. This scope of work includes determining sub-project boundaries, design checks or redesign of lighting circuits, scope development, tender management and construction management.
CPM was engaged to manage and lead the project delivery including scoping, design management, tender management and construction management and administration. Design and construction elements were delivered by third parties contracted directly to the Port of Brisbane but under CPM management.
