Project Background

Seqwater is a government owned entity responsible for owning, managing and operating the dams and water treatment plant component of south east Queensland’s water supply infrastructure.

The Minor Works and Renewals programme is a yearly programme to deliver projects associated with wet infrastructure ranging from pump replacements and electrical controls to providing new access solutions in confined spaces.

Selected projects in the programme include:

  • Confined space assess solutions – Bromelton dam pump station
  • Moogerah dam public safety works
  • Irrigation Weir maintenance – Warril Valley
  • Flood remediation works – Wivenhoe dam spillway common
  • Maintenance and access road rehabilitations – Little Nerang dam, Kooralbyn WTP, Mt Crosby WTP, Loowood WTP.
  • Access platform solutions to meet WH&S requirements.

The purpose of the project management team is to lead and manage the delivery of allocated projects in order to achieve the successful delivery of Seqwater’s Capital Works Program:

Undertake design and project management duties to successfully deliver projects to achieve the project objectives within the constraints of time, cost and quality.

Participate in the initiation and formulation of projects specific to Seqwater goals.

Ensure project delivery in accordance with Seqwater process and project management procedures, including project structures, controls and governance, risk management, stakeholder communications and reporting.

Work with appropriate areas across the organisation to provide seamless project delivery services to any areas in the organisation requiring project management services including business management systems and SCADA.
