Aaron is a recruitment and staffing industry professional with extensive experience working across construction, engineering, advisory and project management.
His experience encompasses the development and implementation of recruitment and staffing strategies to attract and retain top talent for high-performance organisations.
Aaron’s focus is on attracting talented, skilled and experienced people to our team, working as part of the Senior Leadership Team coordinating resourcing requirements across the business.
What drew you to your career?
I started in the recruitment industry 19 years ago. I decided to join the industry as I wanted to help people secure their dream job, their next job or their new career move. I love hearing stories of people’s achievements and learning about businesses they have worked for – and some of the secrets to success for both the businesses and the individuals.
What is your favourite part of your role?
I get to meet a lot of really intelligent, interesting people who share awesome stories about their career endeavours as well as personal stories and achievements. More broadly though, working with CPM is really exciting. Every day is different and the team is fantastic.
What does unlocking hidden value mean to you?
I get to unlock hidden value when I interview people for careers with CPM. I have the opportunity to ask all sorts of questions to uncover the value they could contribute to CPM’s success, and their own success in the process.
What is your proudest achievement, greatest learning?
I successfully ran my own businesses for 8 years while my kids were young. As part of one of these businesses, I was invited to be part of a Working Party towards window safety with a large hospital. As a result we were able to influence change to legislation around window safety, preventing children from falling from windows.
What are your passions, hobbies, interests outside of work?
I love mountain biking and recently acquired a new electric mountain bike. I love caravanning with my family and going on adventures, and I enjoy watching rugby league and strumming my guitar when I can.
