What drew you to your career?
I had a passion in the environmental space and started in environmental engineering field. After working for a year, I decided to solely pursue the Civil Engineering space
What is your favourite part of your role?
I love learning something different every day, and the human interaction.
What does unlocking hidden value mean to you?
I love the approach of “unlocking hidden value”. To me it means being able to step into a project or organisation and assist in demonstrating the potential that might not have been realised yet – and being able to work it through, bring it to light and make a real difference to the end result.
What is your proudest achievement, greatest learning?
I have had the privilege of working on large infrastructure projects within Queensland. My proudest achievement would be managing approximately 150 maintenance and construction staff on the Sunshine Coast through the largest weather event recorded. This required a high level of planning and management whilst ensuring the safety of the team.
What are your passions, hobbies, interests outside of work?
My hobbies revolve around my family and undertaking fun-filled afternoons and weekends on the Sunshine Coast where we can. I enjoy watching sports including rugby, AFL, basketball and cricket. I must not forget barbecuing and enjoying a few cold beverages with friends.
