CIVIL AND TRANSPORT
Our experience
Our experience is shaped by the projects we deliver and the way we work alongside our clients to achieve them. Across every engagement, we bring practical insight, structured oversight and the confidence to move projects forward.
The Wave (Sunshine Coast Rail Line)
The Wave is a major Queensland Government public transport initiative delivering a new passenger rail line from Beerwah to Birtinya, with a metro-style connection to the Sunshine Coast Airport via Maroochydore. Sunshine Coast Council engaged CPM to provide strategic advisory and technical support to negotiate an Interface Deed with the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), ensuring Council’s long-term interests, obligations and community outcomes are protected across all stages of this transformational project.
Mahon Bridge
This project was the replacement of the existing concrete bridge that was constructed in 2009 and damaged in the January 2013 flood event. Following the floods a number of deficiencies were identified with the bridge which necessitated a load restriction to be imposed and a reduction in capacity from two to one lane. A funding submission was required to secure funding for the new bridge.
DTMR Darling Downs Disaster Recovery
The DTMR Darling Downs district was affected by multiple flood disaster events across 2021 and 2022. The events triggered the requirement for various projects across the road network under DRFA, NDRRA, Emergent works and Betterment funding categories.
The Mill Redevelopment
The Mill at Moreton Bay Priority Development Area (PDA) is approximately 460 hectares and is located within the suburbs of Petrie, Kallangur and Lawnton. City of Moreton Bay is creating a thriving major destination that will generate thousands of local higher education and employment opportunities in the region.
Port of Brisbane International Cruise Terminal
Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd (PBPL) developed a new $177 million cruise facility for Brisbane and South East Queensland near the mouth of the Brisbane River at Luggage Point. The purpose-built cruise terminal facility caters for both domestic and international cruise tourism by accommodating vessels of all sizes to use Brisbane as a base port, transforming the city into a major cruise destination.
Port Drive Upgrade
With freight volumes continuing to grow and operational demands evolving, the Port of Brisbane recognised the need to future-proof one of its most important transport corridors. The Port Drive Upgrade was undertaken to increase capacity, improve safety and support the efficient movement of people and goods along the arterial connection between the Port of Brisbane Motorway and the Port of Brisbane.
